At this point I’ve been working with Alex for 8 months— which feels like such an accomplishment, as I have never been a “gym” person. I knew that I’d need a partner- for both accountability and instruction- to make the gym part of my lifestyle. I’d also need to enjoy working out! Alex has truly changed my life by making the gym something I look forward to and prioritize. We work out three times a week and I always have fun, feel comfortable, and am challenged. I have been working with Alex for over 6 months, and can’t say enough good things about her. Alex has done an excellent job of creating a customized plan to help me reach my goals (look good in my wedding dress). Alex is always encouraging while still pushing me to get the most out of my workouts. I have lost inches off my waist and hips and gained a lot more muscle tone while training with Alex. As someone with hypermobile joints who is fairly injury prone, I have always felt comfortable working out with Alex as she makes sure that I have good form throughout the workout. I had a snowboarding injury this past winter, and Alex was able to tailor my program so that I could continue to safely workout while I was recovering. Not only has she helped me to work towards my fitness goals, but in the process I have learned a lot about working out in general. Before training with Alex, I would hit the cardio equipment and call it a day feeling too intimidated to venture into the weight room. Since working out with Alex, I feel confident using all of the equipment in the weight room and am more motivated to do her workouts than I ever was when I was doing cardio alone.

In the beginning of 2016 I reached my highest weight of 245 pounds. I was constantly tired and needed a change in my life. I decided to join a gym and start working out. By March 2016 I had lost about 20 pounds on my own but I needed help to continue my weight loss. I decided to hire a Personal Trainer. That's where I met Alex. She was fantastic in every way possible. She was encouraging and supportive. She not only taught me how to effectively work out, but also how to eat in a way that is sustainable (Flexible Dieting/ tracking macros). With her help I lost an additional 30 pounds in just 6 months! So far I have lost a total of 55 pounds! Alex knows how to make exercising fun an she also targets all the right muscles groups. Throughout my life, I’ve always been one of the smallest kids to take the baseball field. I loved baseball and would practice every day, but had no desire to ever get into the weight room, even thought I knew it was the only thing that could take my game to the next level. Finally, going into my junior year of high school, my parents found a trainer for me. On the meeting day, I was more than nervous, but when I arrived, I was met with a kind and understanding presence. Alex knew instantly what we could do to help me achieve my goals, which was to be able to gain weight, speed and endurance. All these things were components of pitching, which I found to be my calling in baseball. Over the coarse of my time with Alex, it didn’t even feel like work. Her personality was a driving force in getting me to come to the gym every other day, because I knew we would have a fun time working to be my best. She was helpful in all aspects, and was a perfect motivator. The outcome from my time with her was beyond what I could’ve hoped for, getting into the eyes of multiple high level college coaches. I would recommend Alex to absolutely anyone with a desire to push themselves to the limit. I couldn’t have asked for a better trainer, or a better friend. Alex helped me progress in my fast ball starting at 72 MPH getting me to 83 MPH. She also helped me gain 13 pounds of muscle! I started out weighing 132 and increased to 145.

I was so nervous about the idea of increasing my calories. I had a fear of gaining weight and was so scared it would happen at once! Alex worked with me each week to slowly increase my macros. She taught me about reverse dieting and how it would help increase my resting metabolic rate! I have increased my average calories to maintain my current physique and it is all because of Alex! I started working out with Alex about 6 months ago and have been thrilled with the results! She listened to my weight loss goals and customized routines to help me achieve them. In particular, when we started, I was having knee pain and doing moves like squats were difficult. Instead she developed other moves that helped me raise my booty, and strengthen my glutes & quads without causing more knee pain.
